Description: Las unidades ecológicas de fondos someros son regiones homogéneas desde los aspectos físicos y bióticos, principalmente. Fueron generadas a partir de procesamiento de imágenes de satélite ALOS AVNIR-2 y Advanced Land Imager-ALI, adquiridas entre los años 2006 y 2011, e información de campo. Como resultado se obtuvo el mapa de unidades ecológicas del fondo marino somero de Bajo Alicia, Bajo Nuevo y Banco Serranilla en el marco del proyecto Línea Base Ambiental en el Área De Régimen Común Jamaica - Colombia Como Aporte al Aprovechamiento Sostenible de los Recursos Marinos Compartidos Convenio No. 016 De 2010 (Mapas De Presencia Y Distribución De Paisajes Del Fondo Marino). Los resultados tienen una escala de representación espacial de 1:50.000.
